The weekly waka

This flower--
its beauty brings joy
to my wife,
whose smile brings me joy--
who gives? Who receives?


Overturned
rusted bicycle
attended
by two white-haired men,
kneeling in light rain.


Do I mourn
the vanished spring moon
or the hand
that lifted my chin
that I might see it?
