The weekly waka
These two reader contributions don't quite fit the 31-syllable waka form, but that doesn't detract from their quality (or our gratitude for them):
Blustering winter
Snow dresses shaking branches
The earth sighs and rests
While longing for summer's smile
In vibrant Reiki
There is infinite stillness
In silent Reiki
There is abundance of love
In vibrant Reiki
The calmness is still stinging
When the smile is bright
Awareness is deep
Let Reiki sailing through me
(Waka wanted: If you'd like to contribute a waka to our regular series, check out these guidelines, write your waka, and email it to editor @ thereikidigest.com.)
