Waka Challenge Day 6
Our goal is to publish at least one waka a day from April 9 to May 9 in our second annual Waka Fest. Today's featured writer goes by the nom de plume of budo adana.
Frocks
Chilly April rains,
Crisp afterthoughts of winter,
Cool the warming earth
As white tree blossoms give way
To Spring frocks of new green leaves
Smile
Whenever I smile,
The whole world brightens,
Even in darkness,
For a light that shines within
Is reflected everywhere
Haven
On life’s stormy road,
When there is no place to lay
My rain-soaked body
Down, you pull my aching head
To your breast, my safe haven
We hope you'll contribute a waka or two to our celebration. You can add it as a comment to this post on our web site, or email it to editor @ thereikidigest.com.
