Waka Challenge Day 21
We're getting closer to our goal of posting at least one waka a day from April 9 through May 9 in our second annual Waka Fest. Today's waka are by Contributing Editor Beth Lowell:
At first, just skimming,
the breeze blows open -
my neighbor's windchimes
clang crazily
before a storm
Mirage
you can see the very end
vanishing
in the rising heat -
Sunday Boulevard
The old green jug
bouquet of hydrangea
the screen door falls shut
fireflies
in a deserted yard
