Waka Challenge Day 25

Our Waka Challenge continues as we wind down in our final week.

I sat at my desk
willing and waiting for words
that never showed up
the birds continued singing
and I remained lost in thought

A reverie
who knew what it portended?
idle thoughts
I wish that I could catch them
before they fly away
